Scottish Cubs 90th Big Birthday Bash
Fordell Firs National Activity Centre – Fri 29th
September – Sun 1st October 2006
How about taking your Cubs to a Birthday Party?. A
birthday party celebrating 90 years of Cub Scouts, and 60 years of
Fordell Firs. But this isn't a small birthday party this is the
Big Birthday Bash, with 500 Cubs from all over Scotland, camping
between 29th September 2006 to 1st October 2006.
This Fordell Firs run event from the Opening
Ceremony, through the many activities both on and off-site, will
culminate in a party where Cubs, and even some leaders can show us
all their dancing abilities! It promises to be a camp to remember.
The Organising Committee, also known as the Party
planners, are working on the programme and other details
surrounding the camp and will continue to put up more information
when it becomes available at
http://www.bigbirthdaybash.org.uk.
The Camp is open to all Cub Scouts in Scotland,
however it must be stressed, that only Cubs who could deal with
a Camp of this size and nature, should be allowed to attend. The
decision on whether a Cub should be allowed to go rests entirely
with the Cub Scout Leader of the Pack.
A couple of initial dates to note are Friday 10th
February, when the official booking forms go live on the website,
and Friday 31/03/2006: which is the deadline for PACK Booking
forms and deposits. Further information is available on the
website http://www.bigbirthdaybash.org.uk.
Alternatively, leaders, without internet access,
can telephone Fordell Firs National Activity Centre, and request
that a copy of the official forms are sent when they are made
available. Please telephone Fordell Firs National
Activity Centre direct on 01383 412704, (not SHQ).
The cost of the camp will be £35 per Cub, with a £15 charge for
Leaders / Pack Assistants. So head over to

register your interest for further email
updates and let’s get ready to party!!!
